Not him, just stepping in. Yes, if they deserve to get shot then it doesn't matter, because then it's just decent police work. The point being made is that, by acting the data in these categories (chance to get shot as white v. black) leads to unfair conclusions. "Blacks are more likely to be fatally shot by police and therefore cops are racist" is not factual. If you instead framed this as "misdemeanor offenders vs felons vs law abiding citizens chance to get shot" the numbers start to look different. If you take that and further divide it into blacks and whites, then you might have a case. But nobody will make that graph, because it will draw attention to how disproportionate black thugs are to white thugs.
