>>116610708You nailed it on. That's precisely why I said they are prime example of narcissistic parents: they don't wish to see their children to grow up and be who they want to be. Rather, they abuse them, through "tough love" always, by exploring them harshly for merely fulfilling their needs and interests. You might as well assume that the narcissistic parents hate their children, and excuse their poisonous acts and abusive manners through always remind them that since they are biologically interconnected to them, that means automatically they must respect and love them by force.
I know that the intention of Penders was making them seem as good parents, but in reality, he failed miserably at this aspect. Rather, he unintentionally wrote them as narcissistic ones, and accidentally made a good job at this.
>>116610770Oh, I know, of course. Amadeus's personality, at its most, was structured by Ian, and Jules was at its best when he cornered up Scourge and punched his daddy issues, written by Ian. Though, for the latter, there's also good scenes that involves Sonic and his dad, by Bollers. The most memorable one, for example, is the one where Sonic declares that he wishes he would spend more quality time with his dad, and Jules not just understand, but also supports Sonic's willing to go wild outside with freedom.
>Bollers was 10x better than Penders at character stuff.Oh, for sure. I'm a big fan of Bollers, and I think he was the best of Archie Sonic. I miss him.
>>116609227This can be a easy way to explain why do we like Archie Sonic so much: because it was essentially a Paper Mario game to the Sonic franchise: brimmed of very unique characters, existing over a whole new kind of world-building, thus forming for themselves a great vibrant unique charm. The more you think about it, the more similarities you can really denote, between PM and Archie Sonic.
