It did and I think it did well. It was cut short because it was getting the wrong demographics, which I think was silly.

The revival was legit great, they didn't lose a beat and it actually added a new dimension by having them critique MTV reality shows. Only difference is Judge's performance of Beavis is a little more subdued, but the guy's older now so it's unsurprising he lost a little range on one of his more extreme voices.

It got cancelled because MTV's demo is teen girls now, and they had no interest in it

Do kids still listen to that? Or is this part of the 20-year rule 00s nostalgia fad that's likely coming up?

As much as I'm huge fan of B&B, I don't think the reboot would work too well. I was lurking in another forum and the they took the words straight outta my mouth; B&B was a product of it's time. It was the time of trash metal, when edginess and anti-authoritarianism was heavily en-vogue and when Mtv was still about music and experimented with adult animation.

Things have changed so drastically since then the show would just look out of place. For starters, B&B were your stereotypical Gen X slacker couch-potatoes who wasted their lives in front of a TV watching music videos.

When was the last time you saw a music on TV? Zoomers only have TV mainly for playing vidya and Netflix/hulu/Amazon streaming. And most of the time they watch youtube videos on their phones.

Seeing B&B watching MVs or anything on a prepaid smartphone could be the modern equivalent but it kinda kills the poor white trash metal head image they had on the old show.

On that subject, is metal music even still cool among teen zoomers nowadays?

The thing is, they aren't going to be rebooted to be gen z. They're supposedly gonna be their same Gen X selves interacting with this new Gen Z world. So yeah there will probably be some streaming jokes and such about nothing being on TV anymore.

I remember when I first browsed 4chan back in 2006-7. I remember when internet porn stars and cam-whores were like the "e-thots" of that time.

I remember "alt"/goth girls being particularly popular, the most notable ones on this board being Ariel Rebel and Liz Vicious. In way they were the Belle Delphine of our generation, but the most notable difference is that they did actual porn somewhat professionally ,instead of just cosplaying with "ahegao" and they sold or at least made actual creative content like graphic novels rather than gross shit like their own used bath water.
