Just glad to see more love for this show, it might quite possibly be my favorite cartoon.
I love seeing the reaction on people's faces when I tell them I prefer this and golden-age Arthur to stuff like Gravity Falls, Star Vs., Final Space or whatever the next landmark in animation is supposed to be.
It's not the best, objectively speaking, but it scratched an itch of pop-punk, adolescent boy antics, humor, and history for a lonely kid who was obsessed with Aztecs, Egyptians, knights, and pirates.
And yes, I'll say it, there's no way a cartoon like this could be done today.
It's too pro-boy and they never did an episode about how the founding fathers were evil or something.
