>Of all the places for this crap to air.Animaniacs is one of the greats of Japanese animation, the original show from Telecom Animation Film (credited under their parent company's name of TMS) was a masterpiece but heres the thing.
1.Nearly everyone from the original show either retired after Lupin III Part V was finished or became reserved at Ponoc because the were snatched up by Ghibli after how badly Secret of Cerulean Sand bombed, Telecom laid them off when they were doing Uninhabited Planet Survive and Ghibli stole said animators.
2.Very few of them are still working under freelance, fewer at Telecom, those being Toshihiko Masuda, Hiroyuki Aoyama, Teiichi Takiguchi (who now works at ufotable), Kenji Hachizaki, and Shojiro Nishimi (who now works at Studio 4°C); Hisao Yokobori, Hiroaki Noguchi, Yoshinobu Michihata and Yuichiro Yano were laid off by September of 2018 (proving that Tower of God was a 2028 holdover) while Kazuhide Tomonaga retired by February of 2019 after Fujiko's Lie was completed while Nobuo Tomizawa & Keiko Oyamada (the last 2 vets) retired on December of 2019 due to their age.
3.Unlike Telecom who hasn't been relevant since Superman Vs the Elite Production IG is extremely relevant, hence why IG is doing the Animaniacs reboot and not Telecom as was the case with the original series.
>Why do you think in 2020, animaniacs is going to air on Toonami? It's a reboot, not the original.
>The Toonami crowd don’t wanna see that.Yes they do, the sakuga community has been begging for it for years now and we all suffer enough.
>And the crowd that doesn’t ain’t gonna stay up that late. They will, alot of sakuga otaku work late night shifts so they need sakuga goodness at that hour.
