>>116100451I know animated musicals are their own thing, and they’ve got to be short and simple for the kids, but I really wish they would steer more towards broadway musical structure. Give everyone a musical theme, let it develop, let them mash together in all sorts of ways, explaining what everyone is thinking and feeling. Don’t cut good songs, use them. If it must be all about one person, then it better be a captivating story, and show how each character relates to it. F2 was really like a fanfic, meandering around and draining characters of their personality.
It’s a lot harder to make a good musical, but all the time and resources are right there, and it would become something lasting. I guess I’m just complaining at this point.
