>>116084710>10 episodes is not enough? It’s not since it’s not like it’s something developed throughout those 10 episodes. They deal with it in two while the rest act like that doesn’t matter.
> it's already estalished that Luz can't learn in teh traditional way, which forces her to learn by herself, making her more proactive like adventure story protagonists are supposed to beThen why make Eda her teacher? And if she learns by herself why make her go to a school where she will learn by other people?
>I think Eda turning into a monster is a pretty valid reason to care about its inclusion in the story. Is it? We have no reason to believe the one who cursed her is just some random idiot, nor we have no reason to believe there is no cure possible since she just keeps using the same medicine instead of desperately searching for a cure no matter what. Had she had the search for a cure as a character arc then it would make all her actions as a shady business lady more meaningful since she does it all for the sake of saving herself. But she has resigned herself to her fate so why should I care?
>being rivals would imply that they were equals and they never were. No? A rival is just two people who go at each other but not enough to be complete enemies. They don’t have to be equal.
>looks like you just didn't like how he show makes a running gag out of twisting the "chosen one" storytelling tropes with rivalries and heroic destinies. That has nothing to do with it. First of, its not a clever twist since every fucking show is about the protagonist not being the chosen one and earning their destiny. This show is not clever. And Luz is treated as a special chosen one in certain episodes where she impresses Amity and Eda. It’s not bad because of its “twist”, it’s bad because it’s badly written.
