Sing talking for comedy kills the momentum of many of the songs because the story is extraneous and you aren't invested in the characters who are interupting the performance and actually offended by the non sequitur they so often resort to bringing out in order to keep meter or rhyme.
First Class Hands remains the best in the series. I actually really liked the Nuts nuts nuts performance despite it being about nothing. It had good energy. Of course the opening song is also very good.
The bad songs stick out here more than in other productions because they don't serve the story. They serve a 'plot' half the time but it's paper thin if present at all. Filler songs exist to further the plot in musicals and to bridge together more bombastic performances. They're just padding here.
A good example of a luke-warm performance with a good story intergration was the manager song. It was okay but the relevance to the story actually worked and it wasn't indispersed with random shit despite the narrator trying to derail it.
