>>115887964You better brace yourself:
Artemis surfs and skateboards and isn't a criminal.
His mother is dead.
His father isn't a criminal and is present at the start of the movie.
His father also knows about the existence of fairies and has been collecting information on them.
Butler is black and takes exception to being called Butler (he prefers to be called Dom).
Juliet exists and is 12 years old, but does basically nothing in the story
Commander Root is a woman, as is seemingly half the LEP.
Mulch is shown as an exceptionally tall dwarf, something which he anxiety over for some reason.
The movie kicks off with Mulch relaying the story to the human authorities.
Artemis' dad is kidnapped by Opal Koboi (always shown as a dark hooded figure).
She wants the Aculos, an extremely powerful macguffin that was given to Artemis' father by Holly's father.
She calls Artemis and tells him to find where his father has hidden the Macguffulos and give it to her in exchange for his father.
Butler proceeds to show Artemis his father's secret basement where he has all the fairy shit.
As far as I can tell, their plan is to kidnap a fairy in order to bring the fairies to the table and convince them to find the macguffin for him?
Holly is a seemingly rookie cop who's father is considered a traitor for stealing the Aculos. Also her father is dead.
After a very successful mission to subdue a troll on the surface, she just up and goes to the tree where he was killed or something, which happens to be on the Fowl estate. I think maybe he was killed there shortly after giving papa Fowl the macguffin?
Artemis and Butler kidnap her.
LEP do the timestop in broad daylight. Timestops use some sort of aerial machine, apparently.
They try to send in officers, but Butler and Artemis (in person) fight them off using Holly's captured weaponry. They damage the time stop machine in the process, putting the LEP on a timer essentially.
