>>115758149>I really want to know what each of the bots of that story would choose to see as sim.Hallucinogenics of various forms.
Functionally, a direct neural interface that provides "Indistinguishable from real life" sensory data in some way, which would be the highest level of "simulation" and obviously the most dangerous:
- If you were still aware of real life and could also act while under the influence of a simulation, it would be the same as a hallucinogen; seeing and interacting with things that don't actually exist except within your own modified perception, while also interacting with real things.
- If you were unaware of real life but COULD act while simulated, you would be sleep-walking or otherwise "zombified" and could be taken advantage of, or commit crimes while being unaware. From another person's perspective, you would appear to have a split personality or intense personality change.
- If you were unaware and couldn't act at all, it would be a lucid dream or a inescapable nightmare. You would get plugged into the device or ingest the substance or whatever other function to alter your conciousness, and then slide into it for a duration, be fully immersed in it, and then slide out of out it back into reality... Assuming the person giving you that simulant wants you to come back of course; you could go into a comatose simulation and then get drained of energon and chopped up for spare parts. (Remember, if a person in an empty house offers you a blue pill or a red pill... Don't take either!)
I'm also sure there's a measured decrease of intensity that can occur from "comatose complete lifetime hallucination" to where the most simple sim is actually just day-dreaming episodes, or a Live Action Role Play (LARP) session with someone who plays along with your fantasies without any modifiers what so ever.
> implying the simulation fantasies are not being recorded and are going to be used for blackmail anyways'Conned.
