>>115736795The problem wasn't that the show was episodic; it was that the story arc they attempted was generally executed in such a so-so way that looks even lamer when compared to what shows like Gravity Falls and Steven Universe accomplished. The characters' personalities were much weaker than PnF's cast, and the jokes didn't land nearly as often. I don't know how Dan & Swampy managed to hit a home run with Phineas and Ferb right from the get-go in design, storytelling, and comedy, yet their second show makes them look like first-time showrunners.
The animation on Milo Murphy's Law also felt stiffer and clunkier somehow.
