To that effect, I'm not at all bothered by Green Lanterns using a portion of their ring charge to "suit up". I mean I imagine a GL Uniform comes with enhanced defenses, thermal control, maybe some minor muscle enhancement...

So, I liked the IDEA the movie had of the surging lantern energy pulsing through the suits... But maybe if they made it less organic and more technological like a tron suit it wouldn't have been as bad? Nah, probably not.

according to the Bronze Age and Guy Gardner's lore the Lanterns of let's call it first level can't and have just to roll with the suit the ring choose for them.
At second level you can add what you want.
Guy had the suit (the jacket thing) pre-programmed because the guardians wanted to make him comfortable since he was going on a suicide mission

Really based thread.
I needed to vent about something I noticed in modern/2000 comic art.
The fucking costumes are vacuum packed.
Look at this Batman's neck cowl.
You can see his fucking veins.
His veins, despite the neck being clothed.
That means his suit has to be so tight that he can't move or breathe because it has vein shaped at a package level.

while look at this.
This costume made of cloth (spandex wasn't the default of the costumes at the time) looks exactly how it should.
It keeps the shapes of the wearer but it isn't so tight from being just the wearer with body paint.
You need something baggy for a costume since it's cloth.
