Anne is a brave and friendly person, but also not that smart, so she'll often fuck up her attempts at being nice, or give stupid advice, which leads to comedy hijinks.
Sprig is both kind and well meaning, but also not that sure in himself, which often leads to him wanting to do something nice, but him taking Anne's advice instead of his own intuition, which leads them into comedy hjiinks.
Hop Pop is old and smart, but he also have problems facing his own mortality, or admitting when he's wrong, so he'll often try to go out of his way to act younger, or cover up his mistakes, leading to comedy hijinks.
Polly is cute, but also aggressive, so she'll often make a snarky comment, or pull out a flail, which might lead to a quick laugh or two.
I hope they'll do more with her in the next season, because so far she's less of a fun character, and more of a prop they can pull out when they don't know what else to fill a scene with.
