Why do people say the avatar finale was good?

the hero’s plan to counteract Ozai’s was ridiculously lucky and stupid. WHY do they need to split up? Does it really matter if Azula has her coronation to become the fire lord? (insanely lucky how Zuko arrives literally during her coronation ceremony, perfect timing). Isn’t the biggest immediate threat the airships that are planning on literally burning the world? The White Lotus knows about this too, it’s not like it’s a secret. So why is their priority to liberate Ba Sing Se during the comet? Could that not wait literally a day? When the comet is gone and the fire lord is defeated?
At this point, they don’t know where Aang is. And you’re telling me, their response to the biggest threat to the known world (the airships) is to only send two non-benders and a blind earth bender? Why would the entirety of the White Lotus not work together to take down these airships? Why would Zuko and Katara not take part in this? Were their “missions” important at all? (especially the White Lotus. It’s absolutely crazy how this organization of some of the best benders in the world waste the entire time liberating Ba Sing Se, which is completely pointless considering the entirety of the Fire Nation is going to be defeated when the Fire Lord is defeated. At the very least, they could liberate the next day).
I won’t even talk about how Sokka, Toph, and Suki nonsensically are able to take down the entire airship fleet (world-class fire benders don’t notice or care a ship lowering to the ocean, dumping its crew, and then breaking formation and eventually ramming into ships). Or how when Aang takes down the Airship Ozai was standing on, none of the crew in that ship come out to assist Ozai in his fight against the avatar.

it seems like so much of the finale revolves around pure luck and chance and mind numbing retarded decisions. Is the order of the white lotus the dumbest group of “masters” in history?
