>>115014532>The ongoing plot threads that you guys care WAY too much about will be revisited. The entire point of this season has been tearing lore narrative a new one and breaking down its OWN lore and expectations to get back to basics
Rick Die Repeat: Literally painted its fanbase as nazi's that crave nothing but fanservice from shit like Mr. Meeseeks and Gearhead which were supposed to be one-off goofs but the fandom latched on to, which Rick kills in the vacuum of space. Ends with the usual Season Intro monologue declaring things will be more fast and loose now while only occasionally getting heavy, which we see in Old Man And The Seat
One Crew Over: Rips apart the heist genre and the nature of over-complicated schemes and plans (Evil Morty and the Citadel), and Morty's own desire to create a deep story for himself leaves him jaded and bored and disillusioned, all this engineered by Rick so Morty will continue with one-off adventures
Claw and Hoarder: The Talking Cat repeatedly tells Jerry/The Fans to stop asking deep questions and looking for answers, and to instead just accept the Cat/Show at face value and have fun with it and any answers they DO get wouldn't be satisfying. Rick tries to side with Jerry/The Fans by insisting he can both ask questions and have fun, but ultimately the Cat/Show is right, when Rick and Jerry get their answers they're disgusted
Rattlestar Ricklactica: They blow their highly anticipated "Time Travel Plot" which they've had on the back shelf since the start on a dumb plot involving terminator snakes, and not some deep lore answers like Rick's past.
Never Ricking Morty: Not only is it ripping apart the art of story telling, but Storylord sucks out things that COULD have been canon, including the showdown with Phoenix Person, Tammy, and Evil Morty. They even go farther into shitting on that idea by having Jesus Christ bail them out and the whole episode was just a wind up to a CONSOOM punchline
No more lore for you
