The bigger issue is that writers either desperately keep trying to recapture that Heart of Ice magic and fail (even Dini failed when he adapted it to the comics), or they keep making contrived nonsense motivations for Freeze to keep committing crimes so they can keep him as a long-running villain.
Hey, that reminds, didn't they do something in Detective Comics recently where Nora becomes a villain and targets Mr Freeze?
I didn't read it. Was it any good? Probably wasn't but I've kicked this idea around in my head for a while as to how I'd tackle the character.
