Marco (ir Sol in his old way) was one of the few characters, if you can even call them that, that Daron had created not too long after creating Star, her show was pretty much a self-insertism, a fanfic where the girl that represented her had adventures, was autistic and believed she was one day gonna discover her cat talked and gave her a wand that gave her magic.
Sol was a fan of DBZ and believed that effort made things happen, not expect that one day things would magically happen, which made them, Marco and Star, enemies that in theory were going to turn soft a little and not hate each other that much (turn friends)
Sol was Daron's crush in her youth and he apparently never knew about her crush, dated one of her friends, that curvy Stacy at her left and probably is the reason why Daron always cry about not having friends and being bullied.
