The only thing weird is how much of a sideline the original team members got (Iron Fist, White Tiger, Powerman, and Nova). Its like they ignore that they were friends with Peter and Aunt May for 3 seasons.

I've given the show chances from time to time but I had an absolutely horrible time watching the premier of the first series. At best it seems to be okay so if I ever have time to kill I'd probably give it a shot but I really don't want to watch the first two seasons.

I guess I never really thought of it as complete trash. But your right season 1 and 2 had too many one-off team-up episodes that were hit and miss. And a lot of the stories were samey. There were so many "I know there's good in you just fight it!" episodes. Season 3 starts having multi-episode arcs and then Season 4 goes balls to the wall.
