And even if you consider it below average, below average in the 2000's is leagues above modern-day animation. There are a few exceptions (Green Eggs and Ham, Kipo, Primal) but those are almost blessings in a sea of shit. Those cartoons SHOULD be the standard now-a-days, especially since everything is digital and the production should move slightly faster now that you don't have to physically order paints for a clean-up department.
People consider this video as an example of a good fight scene. Xiaolin Showdown was doing circles around stuff like this on an episodic basis, and now people think we're lucky if we get this in at least one episode in a show. It's sad how far our expectations have fallen.
