See the book, while retarded, had some mild entertainment value from how crazy things got combined with the success brought in by casuals being enamored by the video game. He's fine as a boyscout Supes writer. Issue #30 of Injustice had a Superman flashback where he's a massive boyscout who accidentally breaks a kids bike trying to fix it and it ends up with a really sweet and nice story. Also gave us this god tier page.

Tom Taylor is the worst writer in the industry. I’ve regrettably read a decent amount of his output out of curiosity and I’m one of those pathetic people that keeps Batman and Superman (along with Action and Detective Comics) on my pull list no matter who is writing (been on there unbroken since like 2005) and so I know how bad King and Bendis are and I would still take them over him any day.

Sure, we've Williamson writing Superman/Batman and that has been somewhat fun, but i'm bit dismayed at how badly things have been where a Batman adjacent title is the best thing Superman has had in a long time.
I remember a time when we had Busiek, Johns, Morrison, and so on running at the same time.

You might not like it for some reason but Tomasi’s run was very popular here and it had some of the busiest storytimes at the time. You are implying that people are only looking back fondly because of how bad things are now.
