>>114625828>What went wrong? It feels like a 2000s teen hero show that time-traveled to today, so it feels outdated at times. Stretch Armstrong had the same problem, but at least it has an overarching story to keep things fresh. GT has none of that. While an episodic approach isn't inherently bad, it doesn't motivate a lot of discussion once the hype dies down. I finished the season, but I didn't feel compelled to watch it all immediately and watched one episode at a time.
Of course, this wouldn't be a problem if they renewed the show for more and the writers can adapt to Netflix's format. But it doesn't seem likely at this point.
>What went right?The animation is mostly pretty neat. The video game references were above average. The fact that a show Nickelodeon tried hard to kill actually found a home, which is pretty awesome. Many promising shows don't get to walk away from that.
