But back to the first episode thing, it's even funnier when the script for his planned pilot has had TWO (2) different "gold" versions. Like at one point he thought it was perfect and was ready to ship, then he later realized it needed to be cleaned up. Even the most recent version is a total trashfire. Not funny, not interesting, hard to follow, poorly formatted, unimaginative, the story doesn't kick in until the 11th hour and the moral doesn't make sense in his universe and compared to how he's criticized other cartoons. He claims to hate cartoons where the kid grows up and experiences adulthood and it sucks, arguing that it's in poor taste to impart such a bleak idea of a future onto children. Then he flip flops and makes Max terrified of growing up and the moral of his episode is "yup, it's gonna suck lol better enjoy your childhood while it lasts bitch." Also basically every script of his I read just ends super abruptly. Like he pads out the second act until he runs out of ideas, then realizes he doesn't know how to finish it and just goes "oh uh, yeah someone gets sad but then it turns out ok because they have friends and family the end."
