>>114529559Bubblegum is the final villain of the series. I'm not really sure how it gets to that point naturally though. All of Finn's friends ally themself against PB when she starts becoming openly antagonistic, but Finn joins her for a few episodes due to his loyalty to her. She's not the strongest or greatest threat to Ooo, but Finn struggling with his feelings about killing his first love would be a great character moment to show how much he's progressed since he was her little errand boy. Most of the rest of the cast focuses on taking down on a satanic, roided up, gigantic Peppermint Butler.
Marceline never fully loses that streak of mischievous, banter, and occasional genuine wickedness she had in the early seasons. She still dates PB (in a more open way than they did in the show) but allies herself against PB with the rest of the cast and ends up killing Bubblegum with Finn in the final battle.
Less shipping and drama focused episodes, though Flame Princess is still Finn's gf for a long time. FP breaks up with him but not because Finn had a kink for watching her beat up Ice King.
Speaking of, Simon isn't magically severed from Ice King. You can't "fix" someone with a mental disease like that that easily. Ice King only gradually becomes a better person through great effort and with the help and patience of his friends. Betty does not exist.
They actually finally fight and permanently deal with Hunson Abadeer in a satisfying way. He doesn't necessarily have to die.
