>>114484091I don't even know any Hungarian but, just by hearing it, I can already tell that Bolba Tamás, the OFFICIAL voice of Donald for OVER a decade, sounds like nigh-on incomprehensible, garbled garbage in DT17.
Shame that the Hungarian Donald sounds sounds so bad because everybody else sound, at the very least, decent. They got the VAs who played Scrooge (Pálfai Péter) and Webby (Bogdányi Titanilla) in the 4th season of the original show to reprise their roles for the reboot. In particular, Péter, given that he was in his mid 60s when the sun began recording, sounds genuinely aged but energetic at the same time.
However, what really interests me in the Hungarian dub is the handling of the triplets. Besides the European Spanish dub, a dub that got as much of the OG cast to reprise their roles as possible, this dub is the only one I know of that put in the effort to making the triplets not sound like 20-something college kids. To that effort they cast actual child actors into the role of the triplets: Tóth Mark (Lucas from Stranger Things) as Huey, Mayer Marcell (Noah Jupe's Hungarian voice) as Dewey, and Berecz Kristóf Uwe (Gumball) as Louie. It's not like they deliver the greatest performances ever but each of the boys don't sound half-bad either and the very nature of hearing the triplets sound like actual children is intriguing to say the least.
Unfortunately, the dub seemingly halted production after the first season and the only material I can find of the dub comes from official sources.
