It's an ok action show thats constantly delayed, with nothing else to really show other than some barebones zombie story. It just came out in a time where there's not many good action shows and made by someone with clout.

If you want a serious answer: after shitting the bed with SJ S3 I feel like Gendy is afraid of having the characters work towards a concrete "ultimate goal". Spear and Fang are aimless, it's unclear if they're looking for a nice place to live or more of their own species to fuck. Every episode is them wandering into some nightmare hellscape where either the environment or the inhabitants try to kill them and they try to survive.

The question then becomes, how is it going to end?
Will it imply they just keep on keeping on?
Will they fail and die?
Will Gendy try to shoe-in some grander purpose at the last minute?
It hasn't gone wrong yet, but the potential is there.

Watching this whole episode high as fuck when it aired was an amazing experience.
I love the concept of taking a gentle, giant Camarasaurus and turning it into a crazed, near-unstoppable force that only a fucking volcano could take down. It was nuts from start to finish. Made me feel a primal sense of dread I haven't felt in a long time and is my favorite episode so far.

We need a art house style episode where Spear and Fang get high by some contrived means or another (spores, eating fungus, ape men mystery liquids) and the episode has a drawn out psychedelic and highly stylized music video sequence with dancing ape men and all sorts of other uncanny imagery.
