Mandrakk dealt more damage to it then it did to him, and even the cosmic stake used to pierce him did jack fucking shit.
Mandrakk only lost because he got taken by surprise into stunned shock by the Thought-Robot calling him Dax Novu once more, then pushing him into the Overvoid to be subsumed. And not only did this finally wear the Thought Robot down to the last, the fight with Mandrakk crippling it beyond repair, but Mandrakk survived despite its best efforts.
