I get that it was continuing from where the New 52 runs left off and that NuOllie wasn't a lefty, just a Robert Downey Jr wannabe, but i still feel the way Percy had Ollie reevaluate his worldviews to be wrong, because he ended up using Dinah as a device for that and most of the time Dinah would come off as more obnoxious than not. Specially because Percy's Ollie WASN'T THAT FLAWED of a person to warrant Dinah to treat him so awfully so consistently.
And the way he wrote Dinah bugged me too. See, the case would be that while Ollie looked outward, Dinah would look inward. While Ollie would complain about others and try to change the world, Dinah would be hard on herself and try to improve as a person. Yes, Dinah would give Ollie shit, specially when he deserved, but more often than not she would shoulder the blame for his wrongdoings and forgive him too quickly. They were the kind of couple where while they're great together, you sometimes would wish them to split up feeling sorry for Dinah. It was a relatable and complex couple.
But Percy's Dinah was just the plot-device. She was there to shit on Ollie so he would reflect on shit and then act, or then shit on Ollie so he would brood and then you sympathize with him. Either way she was jus there to point fingers and complain.
