>"I see he's taught you the ways of tea and failure!">"His royal tea loving goofiness."They're coffee people.
>>114103670I personally never talk about this theory because I'm a child sexual abuse survivor and, even though I'm male, I relate to Azula and the idea of seeing a bunch of anons jerking it to how hot the idea of her being raped by her dad is does not interest me.
With that said, I do think there are arguments to be made that Azula demonstrates some characteristics of sexually abused children. I don't think that was Bryke's intention, but I certainly related to Azula. From my own personal experience:
>being a sycophant to the abuser>disparaging siblings in a desperate bid to curry favor with abuserOne thing that jumped out to me, and that other anons elaborated on, is that Azula and Zuko are both super autistic but still have used "sexy voice". Azula uses the sexy voice during the infamous bedroom scene with Zuko. Zuko uses the sexy voice with Katara during the Waterbending Scroll.
So how is it that Zuko and Azula can both employ some slimy charm when it suits them, but they still struggle socially when they actually want to have a romantic or sexual connection with someone? The answer is that Zuko and Azula aren't aware of the overtones of their actions. I can honestly see Katara and Zuko talking about the tree incident years later and Katara saying that Zuko was acting kind of creepy to his immense chagrin.
This implies that Zuko and Azula have seen this sort of behaviour used before they understood what it was - ie. before puberty. The fact that they've seen this sort of sexualised behaviour used in coercive and threatening situations often enough to replicate it at a young age has some very uncomfortable
