Mao is garbage. It tried to set up melodrama between Mao and his father, turns out that the so called melodrama was a set up for generic comedy (finding out that Mao's father was a midget how original). The comedy itself is nothing to write home about compared to say Gumball's early seasons comedy. I hate Badgerclops because of all the Homosexual Bait that he inspires making the threads annoying. And Adorabat is straight up annoying. I hate this character, I hate how loud she is because she screams a lot and I hate her personality as well (the cutesy girl is actually a deadly psycho but we can never hold her accountable for having murderous blood lust so she's another Mabel from Gravity Falls).

Maybe, but if I want a Cat Comedy cartoon I'll rewatch early seasons Gumball for that. The whole dual attempt at comedy and adventure? No thanks even Adventure Time failed at that.

A show can be age-appropriate, challenging, and engaging for kids without pandering. Kids are still individuals with a variety of tastes, but a lot of the upcoming shows seem to be made for the softest and most sheltered. Even setting aside the question of quality, it just seems like there's a lot of redundancy in CN's programming.
