>>113881146It has everything to do with this:
>Whether it makes sense or not isnt really relevant, it is an existing political ideology and you should be able to recognize when it's being supportedLike it or not, we are beyond the point of human philosophy where someone can point at an object, declare "That doesn't exist", and he gets to claim this is a political debate. No, that's inanity. Complete mental dribbling that doesn't even deserve a second moment of thought.
Likewise when someone declares that something being relevant because it supports existing political ideology is equally inane and stupid because you just opened the doors to discussions on the Flat Earth, anti-vaxxing, biological sex, and even human sacrifice. Why? "Because not supporting these is supporting existing political ideology. You should be able to recognize when it's being supported."
Nope, wrong, bzzzzz. By recognizing these things as insanity, it's invalidated as being political discussion. Likewise if you think having a comic where a character buys something, or a comic where pro-meritocracy is seen as political; you're not making a profound political statement. That's just being an idiot. There's nothing inherently political about those things much like how you can have comics or a lot of pieces of entertainment that aren't remotely political themselves because they are merely pieces of entertainment.
