>>113878430I feel nothing for her fate, but I feel mild annoyance for the surrounding logic around it.
There's no lesson. Consequence or no, Cream clearly fucked up here, she acknowledged it bu then Gmerl tells her he "needed" her, even though he could have just used the same restraining trick and slammed her around until she was unconscious then take the Emerald since it's not like he left her to a less brutal fate. Had he just said nothing I would have let it slide, but now I'm mad.
Sometimes you really should just stay out of the way, especially if you have no real plan or meaningful contribution and just put yourself at risk.
Now Gmerl's taken himself out of usefulness as well to babysit her for her slip making things even more difficult for others.
Just layers of idiocy frosted over as sappy selflessness here. Cream should be sidelined after this. When Tails was in her shoes he proved himself over time to be as capable as he can be cautious, never overstepping his role or involvement if it will do no good, but Ian has made Cream on the other hand show no capacity to handle herself or basic teamwork.
He just put the nail in her coffin for me here. Going forward Sonic and co should never even indirectly inform her of any dangerous work they're dong or it just shows terrible irresponsibility.
Before someone brings up her theatrics in the games, in the Advance games and Battle she was often off on her own without being told, no one had her at a group meeting listening in, in Heroes she was under the responsibility of a boy crazy stalker and a retard chasing Sonic Team without being aware of the bigger picture, but here's there's no excuse.
Everyone is aware there's the metal virus and the Deadly Six about, she should have stayed behind and helped the other victims, maybe watch the Master Emerald for Knuckles, that would have been useful. Not this.
