>>113861678Kindred is Harry, the real Harry who died in AS #400 and the any further appearances have been a deluded clone(s), since goblin serum and clones shouldn’t be mixed.
He’s here to torment Peter for breaking (really just the gradual unwinding) of the deal with Mephistopheles. He tells Peter that Mephistopheles is going to pushing him to make another deal in the wake of Aunt May’s cancer diagnoses (see the now cancelled Friendly Neighbourhood Spider-Man). He also reminds Peter that Mephistopheles has preyed on this weakness before in OMD but what Peter didn’t know is he made this deal back during the Clone Saga to alter reality to have Aunt May never die (rather than just taking away her cancer) costing him his child which he of course didn’t know he did because reality was altered.
Peter realises that Mephistopheles made a mistake in not erasing his memories of what happened in OMD like he did with Aunt May’s death. Since now Peter knows exactly what Mephistopheles is trying to do.
Bargaining with Kindred/Harry, Peter promises that if he get 24 hours, one more day, he can come up with a plan to defeat Mephistopheles on his own turf and somehow restore things back to how they should be, sending Harry back to his eternal rest as well.
Kindred and Peter get into Mephistopheles lair under false pretences of Kindred beating Spider-Man and beat the shit out of him with a sack filled with every kind of holy symbol Spider-Man could get in Queens (a lot considering it churns new ethnic groups through every decade) and some stuff from Strange.
Finding the “strings” of fate that Mephistopheles has been altering, Spider-Man makes him reverse it, throwing him back into the changed present.
Peter, married to Mary Jane with children. But also a dead aunt, dead friend, a mortgage and having just been laid off from a job. It’s back to the grind for old Spider-Man, working hard so the next day might be better.
