>>113858415You strike me as the sort that would bring up the US losing Vietnam in another conversation while still holding this opinion.
Don't underestimate a populace that is armed with what it can get, is pissed off enough to use it, and is also very willing to engage in the finer points of asymmetrical warfare.
Plus, you seem to think that the US military is indoctrinated to follow the government blindly.
Quite a lot of US troops that are you know- raised on being told that they're shooting people overseas for those folks back home- aren't going to be as comfortable being told they have to do the same in their own country.
A boogaloo in the US is a bit more complex than I care to explain but please. Go look up asymmetrical warfare, hell, go read Che's guerrilla handbook for a basic introduction.
I love when you silly foreigner types try and pull that whole "but the government has planes and tanks and shit maaaaan" without understanding how a real revolt of the US citizenry would go down.
Chrissakes, less than 10% of the population of the 13 original colonies actively fought against the British, and they still won... But I'm rambling and you are either incapable of grasping the topic or unwilling.
Just realize, the moment the US federal government feels like it has to march on its own citizens, is the moment they sign their own death warrants.
Not to mention oh lord, improvised munitions, IEDs, shit kid, if only you truly knew how these things work over here.
