I'd agree if I didn't end up preferring Helluva Boss a bit more.

Hazbin's good but a lot of its potential is in what they could actually do with a long-term series and full story-arc, while Helluva Boss kind of cuts to the chase with the comedy and tighter-focused cast.

True, although the humor was a bit hit-and-miss in the case of both, but it was enjoyable nonetheless. I can't say which is objectively better or worse, as both had issues with pacing: Hazbin tried to cram too much into 30 minutes, while Helluva had the whole multi-layered flashback thing.
In interested in how both would turn out as shows, but I'm a bit more invested in Hazbin due to how much lore it promises.

Fun premise with stylish visuals and animation. It's got issues, like too many obnoxious sound-effects, and a few quality inconsistencies between animators, but I don't think it's really fair to hold it to the standards of a big professional studio made pilot either.

same, i'm really worried that they will tone them down heavily in response to too many people bitching about them. helluva boss certainly did, but they were still good. I love them being totally over the top though

Sound effects were a bit hit and miss.
I loved them in Ed Edd n Eddy, and I certainly didn't mind them in Hazbin, but I can see why others wouldn't like it.

Well, a lot of people thought that Helluva would be the more regularly released "workhorse" to gather the funds for the passion project Hazbin, but apparently, Viv's trying to pitch Hazbin.

I personally wouldn't mind seeing both, back-to-back, similar to how the Grim Adventures of Billy & Mandy were, originally, with Evil Con Carne.

Yeah, I liked the sound design for some characters but less for others. I think Alastor's radio/laugh track effects all fit, and I liked the quick punch it gave Katie Killjoy's movement, where it sounds like she's breaking her neck every time she turns too quickly.

But I thought it was less necessary for moments like the limo conversation, where every gentle movement and finger point seemed to be accompanied by a loud sound effect.

Yeah, it's a real drama killer in some cases.
Another minor issue I had is that they couldn't make Angel's Tommy guns sound like, well, Tommy guns.
I get that it's basically an infernal copy of one, but come on! You'd probably find sounds effects for it all over the internet.

Yeah, they're kind of apples and oranges in what they're going for.

I'd sooner have Hazbin be a full series because I think it would have more ambitions in regards to its characters arcs, action sequences, music, etc. But I think Helluva Boss was more consistently funny with what we've seen so far.
