It reminds me how Adventure Time was taken over by people who didn’t like the main character. And the Bubbline ship only works on with “They are both the only immortals around, so they might as well hook up.” angle rather than any real chemistry.

Finn wasnt even interested in PB at that point anymore. I swear you can tell this board is full of antisocial freaks who have never dealt with post-infatuation so they don't know what is it to hang out with someone you used to have a crush on. Yes Finn had mixed feelings over her after breaking up with FP and she suddenly became a posibility again but that doesnt means that they were destined to be together of that he cant get over her.

It's funny in a weird way how much control over his own show the creator lost. Like the guy used to be mentioned all the time as a huge fucking deal when the show first came out and now I don't know what he even works on anymore. Fuck, I legitimately don't even remember his god damn name. AT used to be this huge thing that saved the network from CN Real and at the end of it all its legacy has basically just become "That show Rebecca Sugar used as a stepping stool to make Steven Universe".

It still doesn’t feel right.
I haven’t really watched the show, so I don’t know the full context, but I only know Bubblegum as a princess and Marcelina as some punk vampire. This pic looks like fucking fan fiction to me.
I guess some shows just change over time, like a friend you have seen a while. Reminds me of Star vs.
Imagine watching season 1 of Star vs and then going straight to 4. The show is almost unrecognizable. Maybe Adventure Time evolves in that way, but it still feels so strange to me.
It’s like imagine if you turned on The Simpsons and they were living in a mansion in 1920s France. It feels so unnatural.

It would have been great if they were honest about this in the show. Marceline and Bubblegum only really go out from time to time just to pass the time but the relationship often falls apart, then gets started again after a few centuries.

I honestly think that Finn and Marceline could have been a great pairing if they applied the whole Finn has past lives and reincarnates thing that was implied with Shoko.

OOF. Ice King was literally the only enjoyable part of the show for me. Like, no exaggeration, I watch it because of him.

I'd have taken "Ice King, though crazy via magic, is now happily married with Betty, who is now also crazy via magic, after she accepts him with all his flaws" over him actually not having a happy ending.
