I know I am abusing a bit thread topic, so I would like to begin that I love comics, Daredevil is my favorite superhero, I love cartoons, I grew up with the classics (Batman TAS, Spider-man TAS, obviously then Justice League, Earth's Mightiest Heroes TMNT, Teen Titans, Samurai Jack, I love it all).
And here's the thing, I love manga and anime too, what's the difference between them? None, fuck off retard, it's the same fucking thing. Anime isn't a fucking style, the best argument you can possibly finagle for anime is that it's produced by Japs with different production philosophy (for example, it's easier for single individual to get published by, let's say, Jump magazine, as opposed to Marvel, that have dozen of people on one book).
Anime has historically always borrowed inspiration from Western cartoons, Hayao Miyazaki didn't quit animation because of Russia's Snow White for god's sake, stop limiting yourself to false perception of what is "anime", and just enjoy all things animated, all things drawn. Anime isn't real, manga doesn't exist, they are all same shit, I am so fucking pissed off when I see "Avatar is borrowing from Japanese anime style..." fuck off retard, why are you letting yourself say dumb shit? Yes, of course Westerners will take inspiration from Japanese animation, IF YOU ARE AN ANIMATOR YOU MUST TAKE INSPIRATION FROM ANY CORNER OF THE WORLD THAT PRODUCES ANIMATION, stop being a snob about it, even bad things you at least can learn what not to do. Why fixate on what vaguely defined thing is better than the other? Do both, if you are going to compare them at least be mature enough to do both to compare them.
I know my autistic rant might be incoherent and very loosely related to the topic, but you have no idea how much mouth breathers annoy me, who wouldn't watch something great like Kino no Tabi just because it's "anime". Or vice versa, people who are autistic enough for Naruto aren't autistic enough for the Last Airbender. Perish and die.
