I don't know the exact labor laws in BCB, but there are quite a few jobs that a charismatic 16 year old can take up without suspending disbelief too much.
I can totally see him ending up as some sort of assistant manager in the near future.

I didn't mean relationships, he barely bothers with school, is pretty lazy when it doesn't come to his immediate social group, has no aspirations and has a dead beat dad that he sort of accepts he'll become when he grows up.

Why is it this comic focuses on the most stupid shit? Like, are readers *that* invested in whatever the characters decide to do after High School? Is the SAT test score that impactful in most 'High School Dramas' ?

It seems like nonsense fluff to fill out a shallow cast who outside 4-5 characters are completely undeveloped,2-dimensional and boring as fuck. The have one character trait that is randomly shown off whenever the comic decrees a slight perspective change.

There is no real gravity or close inter-connected characters. It's constantly shown when they don't have certain pairings on screen. Taeshi just never fucking bothered to think of how two characters would interact - ala Paulo and Augustus beyond Paulo being a little pissy for a bit.

Supposedly Paulo is one of the 'deeper' characters in this shit-fest but he constantly is on a record-repeat because the comic is circling the drain. There are no real plot-points, it's pointless filler and they are gonna milk the cash-cow until it's dead. They easily could set up interesting plot-points but in the past 3-4? 5 years? It always sums up to..

'Oh no, two characters brush beside each other on the street, let's spend 30 pages reestablishing their tropes and not advancing any fucking thing.'

It's so fucking dull.

Anyone got any thoughts about who or what she'd be talking about here, so far she hasn't really given a fuck about anything that's going on concerning the groups drama IE Mike, unless a new plot point comes out of nowhere and Lucy's finally given a new plotline since she left and forgot the old one I don't see what the hell this could possibly be in reference to.
