Even when he had his own plans, he still payed tons of attention to me, taking me to various places and just spending a lot of time with me. Anyway, what I am trying to say, since we didn't see each other that often, we almost never had any fights, I really treasure every second of those childhood memories. For me he was like a real brother (well, we call cousins "brother" or "sister" usually anyway).
I believe most siblings have normal relationships, with their ups and downs. Maybe not as good as Dipper and Mabel's, but definitely not "I can't stand you" tier. I think most anons are trying to say "Keep wishing to have a sister, just don't expect her to be all Mabel-y", and they are probably right. Seeing such a close brother-sister relationship is not a common occurance.
