I think it's safe to say that Toonami is dying. They weren't given a budget for new shows this year. SAO was secured in advance. Boruto was cut because that was their only chance to get Part 5.

Probably. Peak doomposting was done exactly 5 years ago when the block had it's first major cut that brought it to 3 hours, but this time we have no KLK or DBZ to pull in the ratings, not to mention the decline of cable TV itself.

This is the third premiere this year that wasn’t replaced. It’s blatant at this point that there is a critical problem with the block. What’s most concerning is that ratings aren’t that bad, so we are blind on what the issue is
