For instance Germans wear short sleeves here and aren't afraid of swimming in the sea at the time us domestic folk still see the weather as pure winter and wear long sleeves and jackets. The feeling of cold/hot is a learned thing. A warm day for us is a very hot day for Germans, and our actual summer which is blazingly hot to the Germans probably seems absolutely African. We usually go well above 30 celsius, closer to or 40, with high humidity.
Amusingly said Germans and Northerners don't handle our winters well, because of bura and jugo. Bura is why we are consistently baffled by American cardboard and wishful thinking houses as well, since the strength of this wind is similar to their hurricanes, except freezing cold.
