At the very least, I could play up my knowledge of horror villains and tropes amongst them. Imagine the Wise Dogs having to deal with say, Michael Myers or Jason and they don't know a way to put him down without more devastating methods (methods that wouldn't be available to the apprentice dogs). Then coming in to provide them with a workable solution.

Sure, I'd probably die horribly before I could really get to put said knowledge to use. But it's still a decent idea.

It was, and I'd have genuinely loved to have learnt what the Endark actually was, or what truly ended the world. But them's the brakes.

Few comic series, especially horror-related, can often survive on their own long enough to reach a satisfying conclusion. Mostly because they usually lack enough of a viewerbase to justify their continuation or simply because the soulless company behind them decides canceling them has some tangible 'benefit'.

The longest lasting non-Mignola horror comic I've seen is probably Manifest Destiny, which has been going on for a while.

IIRC they manage to take down the evil icecream company heads who intended to rebrand and redistribute the Stuff (they forced them to eat cartons of it) and most people started destroying the evil substance once they learnt what it actually was, but there was a blackmarket that quickly formed around it, ensuring it would keep on circulating and causing problems down the line.

It was a sequel hook if I ever saw one.

IIRC Trevor recently posted a kind of "pain chart" that measured the level of pain each of his creatures sat at. Long Horse and Big Charlie were pretty firmly no pain at all, meanwhile the Man With The Upside Down Face was pretty far along, whilst Cartoon Cat sat at a firm "Worst pain imaginable"

Considering Long Horse is canonically a multiverse-spanning force, and it's explicit *nothing* strays near the dirt mall Cartoon Cat lurks (along with Henderson pretty casually confirming on his Tumblr that it could basically destroy the world), I'd say it's pretty high up there.

Apparently Big Charlie is made up of every kind of meat, and is the reason for things like Lil' Nugget who regularly 'shed' from him as meat chunks, that form new Lil' Nuggets. From there, the Nuggets have two branching evolutionary paths: they can 1) turn into some weird dark-colored version of themselves that Henderson refuses to elaborate on. Or 2) they reach the end of their development and turn into the Lamb, which is hostile and causes all kinds of nasty shit with its mere presence. Yeah, it's a shared setting for msot of the Henderson stuff. He's confirmed at least three distinct universes however. The mainline one, where msot of the ghosts and demons seem to linger, the one filled with Giants who ruined everything, and the world of the Fugitive and Pursuer, which may also be the universe that Siren Head supposedly originated from. It's implied there are many, many more realms and realities, but these are the ones he tends to focus on.

I suppose if I have enough of a mind to do it, why not, but since turning into a dog I'd figure the new dog brain would just mean I don't do much more than eat and sniff things. Literally just not enough brain for a human like intelligence or consciousness.

I don't think it's ever established. Like, the remake Blob was some weird biological warfare experiment, but the original was something immensely weird. It might not even possess a biochemical makeup we can understand.

I should watch the original. I've only seen a couple clips.

We do know the remake Blob is fast. Faster than the original blob. The Thing should be faster when it's not transforming. It could take over someone, find their memories, and kill the blob the same way it died in the movie.

Calvin is pretty smart itself, considering all of its cells are muscle, brain, eye, mouth, and neurorecptor wrapped in one. And even at the size of a napkin or possibly smaller, it managed to stage a major escape plan before making its way into the airducts. The Thing likely edges it out in terms of raw refined smarts however.

I doubt the Thing can infect it though. Whatever Calvin is made of seems durable and resistant enough to survive being bombarded for what were likely thousands of years worth of radiation on the surface of Mars, if not much more (It's heavily implied to have been the thing that wiped out Mars' biosphere). So any encounter would coem down to raw smarts and physical force.
