It's a bitch thing to do, but think about it. You're you, trying to live your life, in College, focusing on your education and what you want to do, then your brother you didn't know existed until literally a year ago, which you had a mixed relationship with in the last year, is blown up over international television as literally hitler. It'd drive anyone over the edge. much less a college girl trying to find herself. I get hollyhock, wanting to distance herself from the mistakes of her sibling. She even tried, pretending she would care about Bojack until it became too much. I'm not saying it was the right decision, or the best, but i get how the writers wanted to implicate the stress of having to deal with that, to juxtapose the stress of normal college life. I hate hollyhock and Bojack won't have a redeemed relationship because i thought it was one of the neatest things of the show, but putting yourself into that position it is definitely understandable.
