So I just got caught up on the season 3 of The Dragon Prince and felt this whole show is off.

Ignoring the heavy dialogue, ignoring the strange conclusions people have and how they seem to fast travel everywhere compared to the first two season, ignoring all that I still can't get over the hang up people have over dark magic.

Callum said that dark magic seemed "too easy" yet season 3 looks as though regular magic is way more convenient and has no cost on the user, a winged spell that only a few mages for a race of elf can use is something that took him a day to master. Dark magic seems to require well placed moves and greater prep work in order to pull off, it feels earned. I don't understand what the show-runners are trying to say with this show.
