>>112898329>Why do you like Aiko?Well, Huniepop had some decent characters (although the ending needed some work beyond "here's a new mode") and Aiko really stood out. She's technically got her shit together - she's got a good secure job (even if she feels completely out of her depth), she's VERY sex positive, she gives zero fucks... if she weren't so averse to commitment, then she'd be completely perfect. But I see that imperfection and it just makes me want to be the guy that makes her go "Fuck it, might as well be tied to the fuckstick who totally gets me."
One other thing that made me choose her over all the other women in Huniepop - the game is a dating sim, so naturally you get the "pick three dialogue options, but there's only one right option so pick that one". With all the other women, if you pick the wrong one they'll act hurt/pissed off if you didn't read their mind and tell them what they want to hear. Do that with Aiko, and she'll find your bullshit hilarious. You won't get any points and you still fucked up, but she won't guilt trip you for it and won't act like you're dog shit for not saying the right thing. I don't know if that was intentional, but god damn it really should be.
It's just... everyone else in HuniePop is your typical harem anime archetype, right? You got the cute one, the shy nerdy one, the stupid catgirl, the slutty one, the perky one who's dtf, the prude with big tits... they're all well-written, but they're still archetypes. Aiko doesn't really fit any of those, as far as I'm aware. She feels the most real to me. She's the main reason why I'm so pissed off with Huniepop's non-ending bullshit, because she seemed to have an actual character arc going on.
