>>112724942to your first point, this is why i'm enjoying Future so much. it shows the downside of having to be everyone's hero all the time. it's more than just angsty teenager stuff, it's a person dealing with one day being literally the most important person in the galaxy, and the next just being another part of the family, not really useful in any way that others aren't. his life suddenly has no purpose, which is something he's always had. he used to be a hero with a magical destiny and a mysterious past, but that's all resolved now. and now he's just steven, and he doesnt know what that means without everything else.
hell, it's pretty obvious that the main reason connie was interested in him was because he was magic and had all this cool stuff in his life, and now with all that over with he doesn't even see her any more. he doesn't have an education, he doesn't have any career prospects, or even need them with his dad being rich. he's just floating around in the house he grew up in with no clear goal in life, and no one around him seems to get that. heck, his moms spent 5000 years hanging out in the same temple, and his dad has lived at the same car wash steven's whole life, even after he became a millionaire. like, is this his life now? just hanging around watching other people be content?
i predict the show will end with steven leaving beach city, maybe still in a relationship with connie, maybe not. he'll have a tearful goodbye with everyone and then drive off into the sunset. it doesn't matter that he can warp all over the planet; the point is he's taking the next step in life, without his extended family there to watch out for him, or to need him.
