>What is this thread?
Every Wins'day at Win-O'-Clock we gather here and post links to the latest scans and rips of comic books.
Most links we uploaded ourselves, others we are sharing from elsewhere.
Some comics we've even purchased ourselves (but most we didn't).
If you'd like to help out, just ask and we would be delighted to tell you how.
Otherwise, be patient, be polite, and understand the simple concept behind these words: Not posted means not available yet.
>Where can I find old Win-O'-Threads?
http://desuarchive.org/co/search/subject/Official%20Win-O'-Thread/
http://boards.fireden.net/co/search/subject/Official%20Win-O'-Thread/
(Note: This finds the OP for old threads. If you want to search for comics in the archive, clear the subject field!)
>Where can I find downloads for other comics?
Warez forums/blogs, DDL-indexing search engines (like FilesLoop), torrent trackers (like ETTV) and other P2P networks (like DC++).
If a link has been posted on 4chan, you can search for it in the Desu archive (add "http*" to searches to return only posts with links).
If all else fails, just >buy it.
>Where can I buy comics?
http://www.comixology.com/
http://www.amazon.com/
On the various publishers' webstores, and at your local comics shop.
>Where can I find an LCS?

>How do I download from websites that only give me .exe files?
Untick the checkbox under the download button.
>How can I find this thread every week?
If you are using the inline extension go to

If you have 4chanX go to Settings > Filter > Subject and add the following line:

Anonymous
Anonymous
>>112708657 Just trades, which I can buy at CGN or IST. I'd love to get monthlies but they would take too long to ship and it's not worth the trouble, better to simply wait until a trade is out and buy it to show some support.
I still get some key issues from time to time, but unfortunately this time I missed the preorder window and many of the online stores no longer have it available, and places like tfaw don't take PayPal.
Anonymous
>>112708700 So there's no option for like a proper subscription service, you have to buy the floppies?
Anonymous
>>112708821 For a while I used
mmcomics.com , but they had to ship the comics to my location out of the states, which implied both the shipping cost of the service within the States (as they have no "free shipping), and the actual cost to ship it from the US to here. So it wasn't a good option, and if I had to make it reasonable it had to be a single shipping per month... So no way I would get to read them at a reasonable time.
Marvel or ComiXology simply need to allow PayPal purchases for their digital comics. I know a lot of people don't like digital, but I am pretty sure plenty like me would like to read those comics in time and have a subscription but can't, simply because these services require a credit card validated for online purchases, which not all countries have for a reason or another. I'm certain a good chunk of the piracy comes from people who don't live in the US or Europe and have no other option but to pirate.

>>112711779 It's for reading on my Kobo eReader. The Sailor Moon manga is not available in my region, and volume 5 is not on Kobo at all. Only volume 6 is available in my region.
So I made scripts to add toc, rtl and other metadata. The pages are downscaled and black levels adjusted (since e-ink only has 16 colors).
Sure, I could put the CBR directly and it would work, but pages will turn slower and it will take more space. Most eReaders only have 8 GB of internal storage. So, after my eReader scripts it goes from 3.4 GB to 1.3 GB for all six volumes.

Between the lack of rippers and the incoming 5G relaunch it's really seeming like a good time to jump off monthly books. I'm only really reading Batman, Red Hood, Aquaman and X-Men in floppy form, and I expect most of those to be ending at the nearest milestone (50 or 100). Say what you want about Marvel but DC is so bad. They just cannot for the life of them get their shit together. I want them to get it together so badly because I love their characters but it's all such a mess to the point where most of their ongoing stories don't even make sense because of gross continuity errors. Dan Didio is just ruining that company, I do not understand how he hasn't been fired yet. Warner Bros must not give a fuck.

A new series begins, collecting the complete adventures of Green Lantern from his earliest appearances in the late 1950s in chronological order as they originally appeared. The adventures begin with the origin of Earth's Green Lantern, Hal Jordan, as he inherits the power ring of his fallen predecessor, Abin Sur. I'm not a regular but someone in yesterday's thread mentioned the new 600 DPI scan I did of the Nausicaa Of The Valley Of The Wind manga. Somebody on /a/ did a really rushed quick-and-dirty levels edit the same day and uploaded it as a "cleaned" version to nyaa and now that's become the most popular torrent, but it really shouldn't be used as more than a stopgap til something better comes about. The reason it's taken off on there more than the torrent with the raws is because the file size is much lower, that's literally all.
Here's a direct link to the raws plus a list of typos and print errors etc. that need to be corrected (it's the Viz Media edition). I don't want my Mega account to get nuked so I will be taking this link offline after a while, so if you want it download it while you can. I hope it's satisfactory, this is the first time I've scanned anything.

No worries, I missed the fact that person levelled & cropped them; I'm only sorry I couldn't scan it at 1200 DPI but I've kept the loose pages in a box so if I do ever come across a scanner with proper hi-res capabilities I'll re-do it, just the only public copyshops around my part of the UK you have to hand stuff to somebody who does the scanning and I didn't think they'd scan 1000+ pages of copyrighted material so I did it at home on an old standard printer/scanner
I made a one-time trip for that /a/ thread but I don't have it to hand, began MRX something
never scanned anything before and this is the only manga I own so I don't know the etiquette etc. for this stuff, just know this one's underappreciated because the only scan online is ancient

Laura Dean, the most popular girl in high school, was Frederica Riley's dream girl: charming, confident, and SO cute. There's just one problem: Laura Dean is maybe not the greatest girlfriend. Reeling from her latest break up, Freddy's best friend, Doodle, introduces her to the Seek-Her, a mysterious medium, who leaves Freddy some cryptic parting words: break up with her.
But Laura Dean keeps coming back, and as their relationship spirals further out of her control, Freddy has to wonder if it's really Laura Dean that's the problem. Maybe it's Freddy, who is rapidly losing her friends, including Doodle, who needs her now more than ever. Fortunately for Freddy, there are new friends, and the insight of advice columnists like Anna Vice to help her through being a teenager in love.
Author Mariko Tamaki and illustrator Rosemary Valero-O’Connell bring to life a sweet and spirited tale of young love in Laura Dean Keeps Breaking Up with Me, a graphic novel that asks us to consider what happens when we ditch the toxic relationships we crave to embrace the healthy ones we need (First Second: 302 pages).

In the 1930s and 1940s, Abner Dean was a highly sought-after illustrator who drew covers, cartoons, and illustrations for The New Yorker, Esquire, Time, Life, and Newsweek, as well as advertising illustrations for insurance companies and product manufacturers. In 1945, Dean quit his day job and drew the first of seven books that have been described as “existential gag cartoons.” He used the elegant draftsmanship and single-panel format of the standard cartoons of the day, but turned them to a deeper, stranger purpose. With an inimitable mixture of wit, earnestness, and enigmatic surrealism, Dean uses this most ephemeral of forms to explore the deepest mysteries of human existence.
What Am I Doing Here? was originally published in 1947 and this edition features brand-new, restored scans of the original artwork throughout. Dean’s second book and perhaps his best, depicts a world at once alien and familiar, in which everyone is naked but acts like they’re clothed — a world of club-wielding commuters and byzantine inventions, secret fears and perverse satisfactions. Through it all strolls (or crawls, or floats, or stumbles) Dean’s unclad Everyman, searching for love, happiness, and the answers to life’s biggest questions. Dean’s drawings look like cartoons but they aren’t very funny, at least not in the traditional sense. They’re absurdist and disquieting. Each drawing features the same hapless character, a lonely youngish man who questions his role in the human race, represented by a crowd that changes its form and behavior from page to page (New York Review Comics: 168 pages).

Every week, from 1978 to 1980, The Village Voice brought a new installment of Mark Alan Stamaty's uproarious, endlessly inventive strip MacDoodle St. Centering more or less on Malcolm Frazzle, a blocked poet struggling to complete his latest lyric for Dishwasher Monthly, Stamaty's creation encompassed a dizzying array of characters, stories, jokes, and digressions. One week might feature the ongoing battle between irate businessmen and bearded beatniks for control of a Greenwich Village coffee shop, the next might reveal a dastardly plot involving a genetically engineered dishwashing monkey, or the frustrated dreams of an irascible, over-caffeinated painter, or the mysterious visions of a duffle-coated soothsayer on the bus. Not to mention the variable moods and longings of the comic strip itself... And somehow, in the end, it all fits together.
MacDoodle St. is more than just a hilarious weekly strip; it is a great comic novel, a thrilling, surprising, unexpectedly moving ode to art, life, and New York City. This new edition features a brand-new, twenty-page autobiographical comic by Stamaty explaining what happened next and why MacDoodle St. never returned, in a unique, funny, and poignant look at the struggles and joys of being an artist; a collection of legendary absurdist comic strips about life in 1970s New York City, now available in print for the first time in over thirty years. (New York Review Comics: 120 pages).

>>112786477 They should be over 1K easily on the self-titled. While those weekly issues in the (1970s?) helped, the bi-weekly wasn't what put it over.
Vol 1 went to 714 issues, not sure how annuals are counted but there were 14 of those plus four specials, Vol 2 was 226 with 12 annuals and one original special.
So that's 940 without counting annuals and specials. New 52 adds another 52 issues, plus three annuals and the FE's special which was also original.
And Rebirth added 45 issues without counting the rebirth special Superman issue, the one annual they published or the one original special.
So ignoring Words Words Words reboots, and not taking account anything other than regular issues, they are over 1K as of March 2017.
