So if I get this right the seventh season airing next month will finally put an end to The Clone Wars series right? Will it end right where EP III starts?

It will lead into EP III. The big plot point during the Siege of Mandalore (the last arc) is order 66. I'm genuinely curious as to how they'll portray it in the show.

Honestly with the way Disney has shit over the lore at this point, they might as well just do Order 66 and have Anakin kill Ahsoka in the Jedi Temple or something.

The four part finale "Siege of Mandalore" overlaps with Revenge of the Sith and goes beyond it. It'd already been laid out by George Lucas and Filoni before the Disney buyout, so they just have to animate the thing. The clones execute Order 66 on Mandalore and Ahsoka is forced to flee along with Maul who she goes there to fight. The writers hinted that Rex does actually execute Order 66 but somehow Ahsoka snaps him out of it because he's fine in Rebels.

There's some concept art of Ahsoka speaking to the Jedi in the temple war room from RotS so she'll be fighting on Mandalore while Obi-Wan is on Utapau and Anakin is being seduced by Palpatine on Coruscant.
