Jasper taking center stage of the first episode and being set up as a parallel to Steven, Rebecca using a drawing of Jasper to promote the series and hyping her up during Q&As, and storyboarders drawing Jasper throughout the season's production all point evidence towards it too. The drawing Hilary recently posted of Steven and Jasper as Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask is a blatant hint that she's going to end up saving Steven or giving him more guidance.
She's the only other character aside from Steven who still hasn't moved on from the past and has a lot of unresolved issues, she is in the middle of getting over them and closing her character arc just like he is.
