The "prestige" stuff seems to mostly be on things like HBO, Netflix, and AMC, whereas almost all dramatic television on networks and most cable stations is garbage. Cheesy crime dramas, bland sitcoms… I was going to list a third thing, but it's literally all crime shows and sitcoms, isn't it?
And I guess I don't want to see a live-action Batman show if it's just going to be another one of those things. Some CW/Fox/ABC/NBC or whatever else crap. It's gotta be something that stands shoulder-to-shoulder with stuff like Black Mirror or Breaking Bad or Curb Your Enthusiasm.
Otherwise, I'll just stick with the cartoon television shows, which seem to be consistently better than live-action TV, and with the movie adaptations, which are hit-and-miss, but at least the high-water marks are really good.
Anything like Arrow, Gotham, Agents of Shield… blecch.
