>>112543111Dude, you're talking now. You are insistent that Helena is going to be dropped in the now. That there is going to be a bad retcon, and a fully grown Helena Wayne is going to be running around alongside a Bruce and Selina in their 30's and everything else is the same.
I don't think that.
If you want to continue talking about that, have fun on your own, because you're welcome to believe that, I just don't. I'm not critiquing your theory or insulting you for believing it, I just believe that down to the base it is all based on, it is not what is going to happen.
Everything I have presented as my theory is based on the premise of 5G, which means all the characters you are mentioning as covering the base for why she brings nothing new are all valid under the present status quo. If we stay in the status quo, I'd argue that Helena Wayne is just gonna be a baby. Hell, sort of like what Clark did, Helena being born might be what compels Bruce to pass on the cowl to someone else. Either way, if 5G is what it is presented as, what I am saying is that King can plant the seed of Selina getting pregnant now, then 5G will happen, and come to find out, Selina didn't get pregnant in 2020, Selina got pregnant in 1970-80, and Helena is just about to begin as Huntress.
As for Steph, Bertenelli, Jason, Kate, Cass, Dick, Babs, or Tim? Who fucking knows? Some of them might have aged out and retired, others might be dead. Like I said, Damian might have moved on from Robin and become the Demon's Head, redirecting the League of Assassins either as his grandfather and mother did, or possibly more like his father would.
More than anything though, if we're talking about the Bat family, since when, especially over the last 10 years, has character redundancy ever kept editorial from prohibiting the introduction of a new character that brought and added nothing new? Remember, this is DC, we're talking about Let's not forget about Blue Bird or Signal shall we?
